Most cattle in the first store offering at Canterbury Park last Wednesday were yearlings. Good numbers of Angus-Friesian steers, 292-351kg, made $2.59-$2.68/kg. There was a bit more variation amongst the Hereford-Friesian and Hereford-Jersey pens as 321-348kg ranged from $2.45/kg to $2.70/kg. Forward store dairy-beef heifers consistently earned $2.41-$2.51/kg, while Charolais, 297kg, stretched to $2.54/kg. Read more in your LivestockEye.
