But KPMG’s Agribusiness Agenda, released at Fieldays this morning, paints a picture of agribusiness executives under extreme pressure with staff shortages, supply chain issues and regulation weighing heavily on them.

It’s a challenging assessment but these are challenging times with covid-19 wreaking havoc on the world.

The agenda’s authors say regulators need to streamline the changes required to reduce the burden on the sector.

But they also say primary sector leaders need to ensure they invest in talent and look to the future with a positive growth mindset.

This past year has been tough on everyone and it’s understandable people are feeling under the pump.

But there’s a world of opportunity out there for those who can seize the moment.
