The nationwide rural supplies and services group delivered rebates totalling $91m through the store network, the Farmlands card and fuel card, chief executive Peter Reidie said.
As well, a $6.1m bonus rebate will be paid out to shareholders, half in cash and half in bonus shares.
Total revenue was $2.39 billion, a 10.7% lift for the year.
Farmlands has recovered from a $9m loss in 2016, which led to the sale of its loss-making livestock and finance businesses.
Chairman Lachie Johnstone said the co-operative had worked hard to deliver for shareholders and shareholder numbers had increased by 3% over the year, a key indicator of its relevance to its customer base.
Farmlands had won a number of awards during the year, Reidie said.
They included the KPMG customer excellence experience award, beating a range of major NZ businesses.
