May’s Budget contained $19.3 million to place people in the sector and the expo aims to increase understanding among younger job-seekers about the opportunity the sector offers.

Last year’s expo attracted 38,000 people and this year will again include a wide range of exhibitors including employers, tertiary providers, training institutions, industry representatives and government departments.

It is in Auckland on August 6-8, Hamilton August 23-24, Wellington September 4-5, and Christchurch September 10-12.
