The yarding at Temuka on Monday featured plenty of new season lambs. The bulk were prime lambs that mostly traded at $120-$174. A few hoggets made $160-$167 while most were $100-$158. Top ewes earned $201-$262 and the balance $100-$196. Heavy heifers matched the steers and included 575-580kg Hereford-Friesian at $2.53-$2.57/kg. Lighter pens were a tougher sell and red Hereford-Friesian heifers, 406-468kg, were $2.30-$2.37/kg. Read more in your LivestockEye.
