Store cattle were subjected to good competition at Rangiuru last Tuesday. The R3 pens were dominated by Hereford-Friesian heifers, 410-448kg, that fetched $2.49-$2.52/kg with 448kg steers at $2.52/kg. R2 Hereford-Friesian steers, 331-340kg, sold for $2.59-$2.63/kg but most of the rest, 282-426kg, were not as well-bred and made $2.38/kg to $2.58/kg.
