NZ milk production statistics for November

NZ milk production during November, was up 3.0% on November 2012 according to data released by the Dairy Companies Association of NZ. That brought total production for the season up to 848 million kgMS, which is 5.5% higher than at the end of November 2012.  The year-on-year growth rate dropped from October’s rate of 5.8%. Season to date growth compared to the 2012/13 season at the end of November was 5.5%, down from 6.6% at the end of October. November’s total in 2013 was 6% below the seasonal peak reached in October. For the calendar year to November total production was down 3.2% year-on-year, due to the drop in production caused by drought in NZ in the first half of 2013. Download the full report here
