Live chat video briefing

The first AgriHQ Pulse webinar is now on the AgriHQ website. Presentations are made by NZX Agri head analyst Nick Handley senior dairy analyst Susan Kilsby.
Reading Time: < 1 minute

Today Nick talks about the potential impact of Brazil exporting its beef beyond those markets that have been less demanding on Brazil to prove its clearance of foot and mouth disease. U.S regulators are currently in Brazil with a view to certifying beef processors. Nick considers the possibility of Brazilian beef entering the US without quota, and how that might challenge NZ’s market position.

Susan gives an overview of the NZ milk production for the current season, and looks at the impact of a cold and wet spring on cow condition and pasture production early in the season. Weaker milk prices and poor weather has also contributed to lower stock numbers over the peak milk production months. Susan offers a forecast production drop, and discusses the factors which may influence the degree of the overall fall on the previous season.

You can watch the videos now, and a live chat will follow at 2.00pm. You can request an email reminder to participate in the chat below.
