Feilding prime cattle and sheep 20.10

Hoggets were mouthed at Feilding last Monday and most had lambs’ teeth. Very heavy lines earned $178-$181 while heavy pens made $158-$176.50 and medium-good $146-$158. The sale also featured the start of the new season prime lambs. One pen sold for $166 while a smaller pen made $125. Good ewes made $150-$160 and medium-good $130-$149. Top Friesian cows, 445kg, earned $2.10/kg while 518-673kg made $1.80-$1.84/kg. A small calf sale was a game of two halves with good beef-cross bulls $150-$190, while anything small or in the heifer pens made $30-$60. Read more in your LivestockEye.
