We’re seeing animal bone and ligaments used for medical products, for instance.

Now collagen is emerging as a new food trend. There are even alcopops being sold with collagen infused into them.

Many of those products used collagen sourced from overseas but that can and will change in the future as more processors see the opportunity. 

Bone broth is a good source of collagen and is recommended by a lot of health and beauty experts.

Perhaps our fine NZ diet that’s the reason we’re such a good looking lot?
