EU average farmgate milk price in May was down to 30.5c/kg.
This price is 2.6% lower than in previous month, and 8% lower than the average of preceding 5 years.
The biggest price decrease has been observed in the three Baltic countries, followed by Hungary, Belgium and Bulgaria.
Milk price in May 2015, compared to the 5-year average, has been higher in Cyprus, the United Kingdom and Greece.
The gap between the highest EU price (Cyprus) and the lowest (Lithuania) is close to 34c/kg, while one year ago it was 28 c/kg.
