Weaner heifers were in the spotlight at Wallsford last Monday, and like the steers the overall tally was reduced to 62% of the previous year. Prices came back $55-$65 and sold to a mainly local bench of buyers. Condition of the cattle was very good, though most vendors only offered up their top lines.
Light Angus, 181-186kg, held value at $545-$590, $2.99/kg to $3.17/kg, though 214-217kg eased to fall in that per head range also. Hereford-Friesian had good weight at 255-304kg, and sold for $670-$800, $2.63-$2.69/kg.
