Boner cow prices were on par with recent sales as Friesian, 461-546kg, returned $1.63-$1.76/kg, and crossbred, 322-500kg, $1.42-$1.67/kg.

A nice line of Friesian bulls, 483kg, sold to $2.75/kg, with prices also solid for Hereford-Friesian, 332-467kg, $2.68-$2.80/kg. These prices bettered the steers which at 395kg sold for $2.63/kg, while Angus-cross, 413kg, returned $2.58/kg. The top line of Hereford-Friesian heifers reached $2.90/kg, and Angus-cross, $2.82/kg, though other lines were off that pace.

In the younger pens, Hereford-Friesian steers, 288kg, realised $3.02/kg to be a highlight. Heifers of similar breeding lacked quality and while the top line sold to $2.52/kg, others hovered around $2.08/kg. Angus-cross, 246kg, made $2.28/kg. Galloway-cross steers, 320kg, made $2.62/kg, and their sisters, 217kg, $2.48/kg.

Autumn-born Friesian bulls, 185kg, earned $700, and crossbred, 200kg, $530.

Bulls were the big feature in the weaner pens and continued their solid run. Friesian, 125-163kg, traded at $520-$650, while Hereford-Friesian, 105-140kg returned $390-$520, with beef-cross lines at similar levels. Jersey, 102-135kg, fetched $260-$350. Hereford-Friesian steers, 130-145kg, sold for $450-$500, but were bettered by the heifers, 97-140kg, at $490-$560.

Run-with-ram ewes earned $127 and mixed sex lambs, $75-$135.
