Around 1000 exotic-cross, traditional and beef-dairy weaner bulls were yarded and these met the same level of demand as a year ago. The heavier end of autumn and early-spring born calves traded at $3.10-$3.25/kg, the 250-280kg lines generally made $3.20-$3.40/kg, while the lighter end of the beef bred were $3.30-$3.60/kg. About 300 140-180kg Friesian bulls were in the mix too, making $4.25-$4.65/kg, with a few 100-120kg beef-Friesian calves at $450-$550.

The main store section had R2 Hereford-cross steers selling at $2.75-$2.85/kg, with some R2 Hereford bulls at $2.92/kg. A decent number of Friesian cows were available too, many which were either vetted-in-calf or run-with-bull. The better end of these were usually $1.80-$1.90/kg, easing to $1.70-$1.75/kg for the medium types.
