The 700 head yarding at last week’s Kaikohe cattle sale had some good quality lines on offer and the market was pretty much on par with last week, PGG Wrightson agent Vaughan Vujcich reported. White faced R2 steers made $2.65-$2.70/kg, while beef-cross types were $2.40-$2.50/kg and 2-year beef heifers made $2.40-$2.50/kg. Weaner beef-cross steers sold for around $2.80-$2.90.
