Coalgate sale 13.11

A Tuesday sale for Coalgate was a very quiet affair, with just 19 cattle penned and 1560 sheep.

Lorneville sale 13.11

The Lorneville sale sits in a lull patch at present prior to new season lambs coming in volume. A small entry in the store pens last Tuesday had good types at $115-$120, medium $100-$110, and light $95, while prime lambs were strong at $121-$157.

Pukekohe sale 10.11

A competitive market held from the first pen to the last at Pukekohe on Saturday 10th November, with a mainly good quality yarding a star attraction.

Wellsford store cattle 12.11

A yarding of just under 400 cattle was much easier to absorb at Wellsford on Monday, with a good number of buyers competitive throughout the sale.

Temuka sale 12.11

Plenty of rain in South Canterbury meant selling stock dropped off the priority list, and resulted in a quiet day at Temuka on Monday.

Stortford Lodge prime sale 12.11

Prime ewe numbers were the largest at Stortford Lodge since late November 2017, and met strong competition from a good spread of buyers. 

Feilding sale 09.11

The never-ending stream of cattle continued at Feilding where another 1500 plus head were yarded. Two-year steers were largely 445-565kg traditional types, mainly making $3.10-$3.25/kg. A good sized selection of 365-455kg heifers sold well, usually $3.05-$3.15/kg for traditional, with a 10c/kg discount on beef-Friesian lines. Three large pens of 415-445kg Friesian bulls were $2.75-$2.85/kg.

Matawhero sheep 09.11

New season lambs made an appearance at Matawhero on Friday as just shy of 400 were penned.

Taranaki cattle 07.11

Three weeks of small sales meant Taranaki's yarding was easy to absorb on Wednesday, and the whole sale had a buoyant tone.
