Urgent research priorities for regenerative Agriculture  The highly-anticipated Our Land and Water’s (OLAW) white paper on regenerative agriculture is due out Monday.

The report had more than 200 contributors from all parts of New Zealand food systems. Landcare Research’s senior scientist Dr Gwen Grelet and Quorum Sense manager Sam Lang will explain the research from a scientific and practical perspective. 

 

Dairy prices hit a seven-year high

Strong demand from China saw whole milk powder (WMP) prices jump to a near seven-year high in the overnight Global Dairy Trade (GDT) auction, boding well for an even stronger payout this season. Prices have risen for the seventh consecutive time, completely out-running previous market expectations. Rabobank’s dairy analyst Emma Higgins explains some of the reasons behind the sudden rise in prices.
