New Feds maize and forage vice-chairman

North Canterbury farmer Reuben Carter has been elected to the national Arable Industry Group executive for Federated Farmers as vice-chairman, maize and forage.

He replaces Hew Dalrymple of Manawatu, who stood down after 10 years of service.

Guy Wigley, South Canterbury, was re-elected national chairman, Colin Hurst as vice-chairman, seeds, and Brian Leadley as vice-chairman, grains.

David Lee-Jones, Manawatu, was co-opted on the executive as North Island representative and David Birkett continues as chairman of the Foundation for Arable Research.
