Cheese stocks totaled 1,009 million pounds at the end of last month, 6% less than at the end of February in 2013.
Butter stocks increased significantly during February as is typical for this time of the season. At the end of February butter stocks were 31% lower than a year ago and were also below February 2012 levels.
