The package involves replacing the existing channel with an I-beam and replacing the existing drive beams with new ones. The new drive system drives on top of the I-beam by way of a drive wheel fully supported by bearings on each side of the drive wheel, and is locked on by way of four locator wheels running on each side of the I-beam. This upgrade eliminates derailing and crabbing and improves traction.
The package also includes two new gearboxes and two new electric motors which run off the existing control system.
Retro electrical upgrades are also available for either 2WD or 4WD and include all proximity sensors and all electronic options like pulse forward, breech sensor, pull cord, dual controls, wash and two-speed forward and reverse.
If the gate doesn’t have a wash system, Reporoa Engineering can supply and install that.

Reporoa Engineering has developed a cost-effective package to upgrade their iconic Reporoa Highlift gate. Herdflow, as the company is also known, have adapted their new I-beam technology to improve the performance and prolong the life of their pre-2014 Reporoa Highlift gate for half the cost of a new gate.
