Extra feed may also help them build body condition going into winter.
Boerse says arthritis in older dogs may appear worse in colder weather but this doesn’t necessarily mean it is worse.
He points out we are all a bit slower in colder weather but there are a range of joint supplements and pain relief available to dogs that are affected with arthritis or joint pain.
