Solid results were posted at the Southern Man 18-month cattle sale held at Lorneville last Wednesday. A total of 1350 steers were offered, split between 800 traditional and the balance exotic. Most of the exotic steers were Simmental and Charolais, though Devon and Limousin featured to a smaller degree. There was no obvious preference for either breed types from the mainly local and Central Otago buyers and a full clearance was achieved.
