During November butter stocks fell by 27%. At the end of November stocks were 17% below the same time in 2013. At the end of November there was 45,775 tonnes of butter in storage.
The fall in butter stocks appeared to have been slowing up in October. However the October figures for butter in storage have since been revised down. Butter stocks are typically at its seasonal low toward the end of the year due to strong consumer demand ahead of the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.

Total natural cheese stocks in refrigerated warehouses on November 30, 2014 were up 2 percent from the previous month and up 2 percent from November 30, 2013. Cheese stocks totalled 461,000 tonnes at the end of November. Cheese stocks typically reach a seasonal low in November before rebuilding as consumer demand eases and milk supplies start to increase.
