Ben Turner of Bayleys said the property had been put on the market after a comprehensive development programme by the vendors.

“All the hard work has been done and a large amount of capital invested, making this an easy farm to manage,” he said.

The farm is divided into 23 electric-fenced paddocks of mainly flat terrain on Motukarara sandy loam and silt loam soils.

The vendors have invested considerable capital into a property overhaul including drains, subdivision, layout, regrassing, irrigation, capital fertiliser application and water supply.

The property is for sale either as land and buildings, or as a going concern with stock and Fonterra shares at valuation.

Facilities include a large seven-bay implement shed including a lock-up workshop, a three-bay utility shed, a five-bay hayshed, a 25 tonne grain silo, a 2.5t meal silo, two vats holding a combined 34,000 litres, a 50-bail internal rotary dairy and a circular yard capable of holding 560 cows.

Stock is made up of a mixed-age herd of Friesian and some Jersey-cross cows. About 150 heifers are grazed off-farm each year.

Accommodation includes a new four bedroom home and a three bedroom cottage.

The property is for sale by negotiation. For further information contact Turner on 027 530 1400 or Mick Sidey on 027 229 8888.
