Gibson, who sits on the boards of the Miraka dairy company, Port Otago and Livestock Improvement Ltd, has had an extensive career in the dairy industry.
He replaces Trevor Burt who is retiring after 10 years as a director.
Gibson is the managing director of Tuhana Consulting in Auckland and has worked extensively in the dairy industry, including roles as Managing Director Anchor (UK) Limited, Managing Director, North Asia, New Zealand Dairy Board and Group Director Global Strategy New Zealand Dairy Board.
