Shearing sheep is a gruelling task but yesterday Gore shearer Megan Whitehead made short work of the solo women’s record.
Reading Time: < 1 minute

She shore 661 lambs to beat a record that’s stood since 2007.

That’s quite an effort.

It was amazing to watch the skill, stamina and determination Megan showed on her way to the record. She’s an inspiration.

Apparently she gave up caffeine, bread and sugar while in training as well, something that’d preclude many people from giving it a go.

We’re not all built of stuff that stern, but we can all congratulate Megan on a job well done.
