WMP quotations increased by 1.4% to €242/100kg. This is now 2% above year-ago levels. Cheese prices were mixed with cheddar and edam both gaining by 0.3% and gouda and emmental both falling by 0.3% and 2.2% respectively.
SMP quotations dropped by 1.1% to €181/100kg and butter fell slightly by 0.1% to €299/100kg. Intervention prices for SMP sits at €169.8/100kg and for butter €299/100kg.
Only one country offered SMP into Public Intervention for the same week. France offered the full amount of 119t, making it the lowest volume offered since the period opened in September last year.
A total of 23,490t of SMP has been offered into the scheme over the full period to date.
Private Storage Aid for SMP saw minimal volumes being offered for the week, with 495t in total for a storage period of less than 210 days.
Germany offered 96t, the Netherlands offered 192t and Poland offered 192t.
No product was offered into the scheme for a storage period of 365 days.
Butter offerings into PSA were similarly very small in volume with just 234t being offered in total.
Just 194t came from The Netherlands and 40t came for the UK.
No applications for cheese storage came in for the week.
