GlobalDairyTrade has just released their biannual Chart Focus report, which includes new information on bidders’ purchase distributions and the ratio of eligibility to supply quantities.

Bidder eligibility on the rise
Sellers on GDT can choose which bidders are eligible to purchase their product, and how much they can purchase. Total eligibility is the maximum quantity approved bidders can purchase. The ratio of eligibility to supply measures the eligibility available for every one metric ton of supply. The ratio peaked at 45 metric tons in Q2 2013, and is most recently at 37 metric tons in Q2 2014.
The drop in Q2 this year is due in part to the termination of inactive qualified bidders.
