Quality was mixed last Wednesday at Frankton with a mainly dairy-beef offering. Light weights were common, although despite this the market held. R2 heifers were mostly on par with the previous sale, with beef types and better dairy-beef selling for $2.90-$3.00/kg. In the R1 pens prices varied with quality, heavier types sold well with Friesian steers, 271kg, earning $745 and Angus-cross bulls, 298kg, trading at $750.
