A good-sized yarding of sheep for a short week was presented at Feilding last Tuesday and featured big line sizes including a number over 100 head. Rising lamb schedules flowed through into prices that were particularly buoyant at the top end, and prices returned to levels seen prior to the Covid-19 lockdown in March.
The cattle section could only muster 18 head across five pens. Friesian cows made up the majority, with the most money spent on a pen of eight 521kg at $1.48/kg.
