This is the lowest weekly volumes for both butter and SMP in the 9 weeks since the program reopened in September.

Total SMP volumes in storage now stand at 13,559t and butter is at 19,677t.

Cheese volume in storage remains at 100,803t after it closed at the end of September.

The European Commission funds part of temporary storage costs for 90 – 210 days as part of the Private Storage Aid program. Product stored is still owned by the processors or initial sellers of the product, and they remain responsible for selling the product after it comes out of storage.

Volumes entered in PSA now will return to the market early next year.
