Consumers in the United States have a taste for antibiotic free lamb and Alliance says it’s struggling to keep up with demand, calling for more farmers to join the programme.

This latest trend is just one of a few that have seen discerning consumers take a real interest in how the food they eat is raised, processed and delivered.

A lot of NZ meat is raised antibiotic free so farmers should jump at the chance to get a 15c/kg premium at the works.

Our food is great, we know that, but being able to brand it as such and pass on a premium to the hard-working farmers is the icing on the cake. More please.
