CWT assists with 4.1 million pounds of cheese and WMP export sales

(NEWS ALERT) Co-operatives Working Together (CWT) has accepted 5 requests for export assistance from Dairy Farmers of America, Michigan Milk Producers Association and Northwest Dairy Association (Darigold) who have contracts to sell 178,574lb (81 tonnes) of cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese and 3.880 million pounds (1760t) of whole milk powder (WMP) to customers in Asia, Oceania and South America.

The product has been contracted for delivery in the period from March through to September 2016.

So far this year, CWT has assisted member co-operatives who have contracts to sell 9.994m pounds of cheese, 7.716m pounds of butter and 10.728m pounds of WMP to fourteen countries on 5 continents. The sales are the equivalent of 344.167m pounds of milk on a milkfat basis.
