Two-thirds of the steers at Canterbury Park last Tuesday were well-finished and over 560kg. A level of $2.57-$2.62/kg covered the top cut while dairy-beef types sold for $2.45-$2.55/kg. Traditional and Charolais heifers over 500kg often made $2.30/kg to $2.42/kg. Dairy-beef types over 500kg reached $2.42/kg, but lesser pens such as 420-495kg Hereford-Friesian traded from $2.15/kg to $2.29/kg.
