A good yarding of prime lambs was penned at Balclutha last Wednesday, with most trading at steady levels and heavy lambs returned $140-$160 and medium $120-$130. Prime ewes were mixed, although heavy types sold well and strengthened to $150-$170, with medium at $100-$130 and light down to $60. There was a good yarding of quality cattle where R2 Angus steers, 440kg, traded at $2.50/kg.
