Australian Dairy Exports – November 2014

Australian dairy exports have fallen behind a year ago overall. For the year to November 2014, there was an 8% decrease in the volume of cheese, Australia’s largest dairy export, but the second largest export, skim milk powder (SMP) has increased 34% in the year to November.

Cheese exports were consistently behind a year ago for most of the first half of the year. Since then there had been a slight recovery, but volumes have still lagged behind slightly. The volume exported for the year to November, at 136,956t was behind the four previous years too. November's cheese exports were 12,945t, 11% below November 2013.
