This rate of growth is slightly less than seen earlier in the season, bringing the season-to-date total down to +3.5%.

Growth however is occurring at different rates across Australia. Tasmania has shown the strongest growth with November data up 11.9% and the season-to-date total up a whooping 13.8%.
MIlk production in South Australia and Queenland continues to decrease with production for the season to date down by -1.9% and -6% respectively.
Production in Australia's main milk producing state Victoria is up 3.2% for the season to date after posting a rise in production for November of 1.9%. However this masts what is actually happening within the state. In Gippsland (eastern Victoria) milk production is well ahead of the previous season. November production for Gippsland was up 7% bringing the season-to-date total to +7.1%. However in the west production has been constrained by dry conditions. Production for the season=to-date (July-November) is down 0.4% after falling by -3.1% in November.
