During January and February of this year Argentina exported just over 18,000 tonnes of WMP, 30% less than during the same time period in 2014.
Volumes exported to Venezuela, its number one export destination were similar to 2013 levels and considerably higher than 2014 levels. However the volumes exported to Algeria were down 75% on the same time period in 2014.
In the first two months of 2014 Argentina exported 4,225 tonnes of WMP to China but to date this season no WMP has been exported from Argentina to China.
Other markets that have previously imported reasonable volume of WMP from Argentina such as Cuba, Russia, Singapore and Chile have not been buying from Argentina this year.
