Argentina exports less dairy produce

During the first four months of 2013 Argentina’s dairy export volumes fell by 20%.

Exports to Argentina’s two largest trade partners for dairy, Brazil and Venezuela, were down by 29% and 40% respectively.  Exports to China have increased this year which makes China now their 3rd most important export market.  Argentina has also supplied less product to Algeria this year.  Whole milk powder (WMP) is the main format in which Argentina exports dairy produce.  This is the product that has been impacted the most with volumes 36% down on last year.
