Store lamb numbers dropped to 760 head. One line of 295 ewe lambs sold for $90, with most other lines either ewes or mixed-sex at $91-$105.
Prime lambs made up most of the yarding at just over 1000 head, and prices were steady, with most returning $110-$137. Quality was slightly better overall for a smaller yarding of prime ewes, and prices were steady, with most at $89-$98, a small tail end $40-$59.
Ewes with lambs at foot continued to sell well at $61-$76.
The change of sale day affected numbers in the cattle pens, and 200 were sold, with half cows. Prices were steady to lifting with better steers making $2.84-$2.96/kg, and covering most offered. Angus and Hereford heifers lifted to $2.88-$2.89/kg, with improvements for local trade and dairy-cross. Friesian-cross, 416-418kg, made $2.00-$2.02/kg.
Cows sold on a steady market. Heavy Friesian and beef lines earned $1.94-$2.04/kg, medium $1.64-$1.73/kg. Lighter Friesian fetched $1.41-$1.50/kg.
