Wintering systems feature strongly at this year’s South Island Dairy Event in Invercargill from June 23-25. Workshops will focus on analysing what wintering system changes could mean to the overall farming business and the bottom line when it comes to tackling new limits.

The Overseer model will be opened up and explained with plenty of opportunity to get questions answered by experts. Farmers from two catchments, Waituna in Southland and Selwyn-Te Waihora in Canterbury, where significant action has been or will be taken to reduce nutrient losses, will give their perspective.
