Quality cattle continued to sell well though, with good R2 steers over $3/kg and several lines not far off that.
R2 bulls were dairy-beef and fetched prices accordingly. Only a few R2 heifers made $2.67-$2.76/kg.
All the weaner steers were dairy-beef with many lines $600-$730. The bulls were mainly Friesian and prices eased. Most, 125-195kg, made $450-$550.
A large number of weaner heifers consisted of several small dairy-beef lines that met limited demand and prices eased.
