The top steer price was $910 for 269kg Charolais-cross, though two other lines also managed to crack $900. Of the beef lines, quality 150kg and under sold at more than $4/kg, while 120kg Hereford-Friesian earned $620, $5.17/kg. Most of the steers were 170-260kg, and fetched $700-$810, with Ayrshire, 211kg, making $390.

A good sized offering of bulls met solid demand, with Hereford in particular well sought-after and selling for $530-$805 for 150-245kg. Friesian, 114-235kg, made $430-$750, Angus, 170-250kg, $400-$620. Most other lines fitted into those price ranges, though Jersey were down to $200-$350.

Heifer numbers were low compared with the boys, and were all Hereford-cross lines. Hereford-Friesian sold for $420-$745, while heavier purebred Hereford fetched $450-$785, and three-quarter Hereford $730-$780. Dairy-cross lines returned $365-$590.
