Exotic steers, 180kg-plus, sold for $720-$1090, heifers $695-$895. Traditional steers, 150-250kg, fetched $590-$940, lighter more than $4/kg. Traditional heifers, 165-230kg, earned $575-$775.
Dairy-beef lines were outnumbered by beef cattle in the steer and heifer sections. Hereford-Friesian bulls, 110-150kg, traded at $580-$650, Friesians, 117-134kg, $400-$470.
