The 116ha of flat to gently rolling contour is for sale and Richard White from Property Brokers says it’s presented in good heart with good pasture cover.

“The property has proven performance, achieving excellent results in keeping with the region’s best. The regular fertiliser applications and systematic regrassing programme are very evident.”

Lyncluden Farm is made up of three titles offered as separate options but also available under the whole farm umbrella and includes a 105.8ha block, 1.9ha and 8.3ha.

The farm has been run as part of a larger operation and this winter will carry a combination of dairy heifers and lambs.

In 2015-16 it carried 150 yearling heifers and 2000 lambs while growing 20ha of feed barley at 7t/ha and 10ha of kale for feed crops. Hay and balage were made from about 30ha of mowable country.

About 3ha is planted annually in a plantain and clover mix and so far 7ha has been established, with two recently sown paddocks of new grass following the spring crops.

Metalled lanes provide access to most paddocks. The main drive runs to the service buildings, with sheds for varying uses and two large silos for a combined 120 tonnes of grain storage. A sound four-bedroom home has a commanding outlook from its elevated position set well back from the road.

Lyncluden Farm is for sale by deadline private treaty, closing June 30. The combined three titles have a capital value of $2.53 million.
