Parsons back, vote in South Island

An election will be held for the northern South Island electorate for farmers to choose between Nigel Harwood of Takaka and Phil Smith of Culverden.

 

 

 

 

Election day is Friday February 27.

The election will be by postal and internet ballot.

Voting papers and information about the candidates will be posted to registered voters on February 2.

To be eligible to vote, farmers must have owned at least 250 sheep, 50 beef cattle or 100 dairy cattle on June 30. They must also be registered on the B+LNZ electoral roll by 5pm on Thursday January 29.

Farmers can register to vote by filling in the online form on the B+LNZ website or, from Monday January5, calling 0800 233 352.
