MINDA Lookup is the second in the co-operative’s series of MINDA apps following MINDA Calving which was released in June. Each app provides farmers with a key part of their MINDA herd recording software on their smartphone so they can record and review more animal information from anywhere.
To help prioritise development, farmers were asked to vote at the National Fieldays for which apps they wanted next.
“With MINDA Lookup they’ll be able to look up and review a range of information about their animals, including cow information and history such as production, mating, health, Breeding Worth and Production Worth,” farm systems general manager Rob Ford says.
MINDA Lookup includes four areas of information: essentials, production, reproduction and health. It is available now for all farmers with the latest Android and Apple (iOS7) devices and is free to download from Google Play and the Apple App Store.
