Although New Zealand is a leader in pastoral farming technology there are still many overseas farmers who can provide insights or leads into how we might do things better in this country, owner Ron McPhail says.

This year farmers on the C R McPhail tours visited a variety of farms in Uru The top chop guay, Brazil, Croatia, Romania, China, the Caribbean, Canada and South Africa.

“We have seen some intriguing enterprises and agricultural practices that can lead visitors to ask themselves ‘Why do it this way?’ and ‘Can I learn something from this?’”

There are so many lessons to learn, no matter what stage of life farmers are at and these tours of many different destinations offer great opportunities to bring back fresh ideas to apply to Kiwi businesses, McPhail said.
