June 11-14 – Fieldays at Mystery Creek in Hamilton is the agribusiness expo to launch agricultural products and services to the 125,000 visitors it attracts. For details on exhibitors and awards, visit www.fieldays.co.nz.

June 13 – The Ahuwhenua Trophy Dairy Awards decides the winner of the three finalists at an awards evening in Tauranga. The three finalists are Putauaki Trust's Himiona Dairy Farm in Bay of Plenty, Ngati Awa Farms' Ngakauroa Dairy Farm in Bay of Plenty and Te Rua o Te Moko in Taranaki. June 16-19 – Jersey New Zealand annual meeting and conference in Nelson. Visit www.jersey.org.nz.

June 17-18 – The Great New Zealand Once-a-day (OAD) Discussion Group Meeting is a DairyNZ event that brings together nine OAD farmer speakers from around the country, and two DairyNZ scientists reporting on the breeding programme for OAD cows. June 20-28 – Holstein Friesian New Zealand's conference includes a tour of Australia's largest dairying region, Victoria, while the annual meeting and awards takes place in Auckland. Visit www.nzholstein.org.nz for further details and registration.

June 23-25 – The 2014 South Island Dairy Event theme 'Riding the Wave' looks at how dairy farmers can position themselves and their business to ride through volatile times. Keynote speakers include Rabobank senior dairy analyst Hayley Moynihan, Fonterra chief executive Theo Spierings, 2013 Dairy Woman of the Year Justine Kidd and Landcorp chief executive Steve Carden. Other speakers include New Zealand's Olympic team chef de mission Rob Waddell talking about building effective teams, and health and wellness expert Ed Timmings on the importance of wellness and work-life balance in business. Breakout workshops have an emphasis on progression pathways, including a smartphone app workshop.
