Andrew Fowler from PGG Wrightson in Tauranga, described Sky Farm as a "park of epic proportions", spreading over 274ha with spectacular views over the Pacific Ocean and access to stunning native kauri forest. Several substantial lakes and pristine streams provide not only farm water but a significant wildlife habitat.

It's a well-stocked sheep breeding and beef finishing farm with good summer rainfall and contour split evenly between hay country and hillier ground. Nearly 22ha is planted in forest that is now 13 years old.

"The commercial eco-tourism potential here is enormous with hiking, biking, and horse-riding adventure options."

Even a small exclusive eco-subdivision development could be a reality on the farm, he said.

A central race leads to 50 paddocks on the farm, with significant fencing and tracking completed recently. Water is pumped from spring and stream-fed dams to holding tanks on high points of the farm before being fed through new lines to troughs.

"This water system has very recently undergone a major upgrade and looks to be extremely robust and reliable with new tanks, new lines, and troughs now in most paddocks."

A multi-bay implement shed is situated at the front of the farm near the house, with a substantial woolshed nearby. The house is a solid, three-bedroom manager's home with good views to the north and well maintained.

The farm is being offered for sale by tender, closing November 18. For further information on the farm contact Fowler on 027 275 2244 or Greg Meredith on 027 498 4327. It can be viewed at www.pggwre.co.nz.
